Housekeeping Assistant [New Zealand]


 

We're on the hunt for an motivated and reliable housekeeper / cleaner for a 63 room hotel on the stunning West Coast of the South Island.

The Hospitality Assistant role offers variety, and is vital in ensuring the smooth and effective running of our property. This role requiresa can-do attitude, great people skills and the ability to work within a diverse team.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Cleaning of rooms, including making beds, replacing linen, disinfecting surfaces, and vacuuming.
  • Cleaning and tidying of public areas, including the lobby and public toilets.
  • Re-stocking supplies, including linen and cleaning supplies.
  • Other cleaning duties including cleaning of carpets, upholstered furniture, and polishing furniture.
  • Taking a pro-active approach to cleaning of the property, and taking pride in the appearance of the property.
Travel
This role may require the employee to work at the employers other properties in the South Island. Where required appropriate travel costs will be covered by the employer.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required
It would be an advantage for the successful candidate to have:
  • At least 1 year experience in a similar hospitality role, and
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • The right to permanently live & work in New Zealand
