Position: Public Health Support Specialist
Overview:
Do you have past personal experience facing barriers and advocating for yourself to get the health care and support you needed? You can use those experiences to help others! Public Health Support Specialists draw from their own experience to offer peer support, encouragement and strategies to clients who are experiencing challenges in accessing and sustaining the care they need.
We are looking for compassionate and engaging individuals who have personal experience with successfully negotiating service delivery systems.
This Public Health Support Specialist position will focus on assisting clients, who need assistance navigating social services, re-entry, housing, medical, mental health and/or substance use systems.
Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly rate of $26-35

The Public Health Support Specialist Responsibilities:
● Participates in the development, modification and analysis of Public Health program data for use in reports, planning and evaluation. Plans, organizes, secures, monitors and manages resources to bring about the successful completion of project goals and objectives.
● Utilizes available and appropriate software tools to optimize the process of data entry, retrieval, analysis, accurate and timely reporting of data and program outcomes.
● Ensure portability and accuracy of data within assigned systems. Work collaboratively with community constituents such as CDPHE and other entities to which the WCG programs are contractually accountable to for data, billing and payment.
● Provides project management oversight for development of new information system software through collaborative relationships with the WCG IT Team, the management team, and other agency staff.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Life experiences reflective of those faced by the target population
Bilingual a plus!
Familiarity with the region’s services and navigating the systems of care and support
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $260.00 - $396.38 per day
